this one time at band camp

Last week of May. Still no UCI races and a huge amount of question marks. At the same time, things are getting better. The team has done an incredible job the last couple of months. We have been working on elements within physical training, mental training and nutrition. The riders have been gathered in "Super Teams" to excel, through productive discussions and shared best-practice. Our test results have been good, really good.

Klatrekongen

Andreas Leknessund. What a role model. He is fast, he is strong, but the most important thing: he is a great guy who inspires us. His performance in "Klatrekongen" (the 1st race on European soil since Paris-Nice) speaks for itself: https://www.tv2.no/a/11459799

He didn't win by accident. When he is racing he is always preparing as best as he can. He will not always win, but he will either win or learn. This is #development. I admire you Andreas.

Band Camp

The West Coast of Norway, the East Coast of Norway and the West Coast of Denmark. This week we have completed three mini-camps within the Corona restrictions. One focus: time trial.

In Denmark we completed our camp by racing the Ringkjøbing Fjord Circuit. The previous record was 2:15. We raced 1:57. 98,3 km with a 50,3 km/h average speed. Rodenberg and Hulgaard on fire, and Larsen is patiently getting back to his normal level. Hindsgaul, Johansen and Folsach completed the aero squad. I'm very happy to see our great Danes in the Uno-X colours.

In Norway we gathered the Hoelgaard brothers and Blikra on the west coast. Urianstad with some minor knee issues, but all good. When you are able to unlock your potential great things will happen. Check out the junior results of Blikra in 2014. This is potential. Safely inspired and guided by the Hoelgaard brothers and Sokrates (aka Espen Aareskjold) we are searching for the key. I think we are getting closer and closer.

On the east coast we gathered a group at Furustrand Camping, Tønsberg. A lot of smiles and family reunion. I have really been missing the guys. The sound of the bike, the smell of the truck and the bad stories from management (thanks for the nice visit Gino!). At Bispeveien we prepared Andreas for next week. Erik Nordsæter Resell won the test yesterday. 424 watts and a cadence of 95. Couple of years ago he did 70. This is #development.

Proud

We are not defined by our results. We are defined by the job we do everyday. How we treat each other. How we inspire our team mates. How we win as a team and how we learn as a team. No matter the future of 2020, we will be ready. Our project is long-term and we will get paid for our efforts. Because this is our #UnoXfactor.

Have a nice weekend,

Jens Haugland
